War Horse

War Horse, Steven Spielberg’s sweeping epic about Europe during the First World War, follows the exceptionally magnificent horse, Joey, through his birth and his acts of bravery during battle. He develops a friendship with a boy named Albert, and it’s that strong connection that keeps him motivated to keep fighting for survival during the toughest of times.

It was fascinating to see how Joey forged unique links between people from all of the different nations as he came into each of their lives throughout his journey. The film was a testament to the strength and bond of family in the most dire circumstances.

The scenery shots were breathtakingly beautiful! At times, the colours and visuals reminded me of the timeless epic, Gone With The Wind. War Horse is deserving of some accolades for its stunning cinematography work.
