Carrie Underwood believes in looking for the good after goodbye in the music video for her latest single, “See You Again“. The video features emotional footage of people experiencing life’s most significant moments – from graduations and special celebrations, to death and heartbreaking partings – and dealing with the difficulty of saying goodbye. The song is very timely and relevant in regards to current events, with tributes to Sandy Hook and returning soldiers within the music video (and also, Carrie’s recent performance of “See You Again” at the 2013 CMT Music Awards in dedication to the tornado victims in Oklahoma). At the center of it all, Carrie, who sings in the glow of bright lights, is a symbol of hope and optimism. In the face of loss, “See You Again” reflects on the notion that we must hold on to the memories of the loved ones who are no longer in our presence and look forward to the day when we will be reunited together.
