If you were the architect of one existing building, which building would you select?
The tremendous Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Acclaimed as the jewel of Muslim art, this instantly recognizable white marble mausoleum (which was built as a tomb for the Emperor’s wife) is one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture.

What is one of your favourite quotes?
I really like this quotation from Amy Poehler: “Curiosity and the pursuit of it makes you a more open-minded and open-hearted person. You’ve never too late to learn new things, and you’re never too young to be very wise.”

What colour do you feel most comfortable wearing?
My power colour, Fuchsia Rose. It combines my two favourite colours – red and pink – and wearing this shade makes me feel and look my best.

What is something you learned in the last week?
A LOT can change in your life within five years. While transferring all of my files over from my PC laptop to my brand spankin’ new MacBook Pro, I spent some time going through old pictures and documents, and I was shocked by how different everything was back then. Even when looking at photos of myself in 2009 (at 20 years old), I noticed that my smile has changed.

Is your refrigerator, organized or a mess inside?
An organized mess. Everything is where it should be, but there’s a lot of food shouldn’t be there any longer…

If you could be famous for one thing, what would it be?
I’d like to be famous for writing something (an article, a book, a song) that is impactful and inspiring to the masses. Even more important, I hope what I write allows people to feel that whatever it is they’re going through in life, they don’t have to face it alone.

What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?
Go skiing on a mountain. Can you believe I’ve lived in Vancouver for all of my life and haven’t once partook in winter activities at Whistler? And no, snowshoeing in Grade 6 doesn’t count.

Where do you eat breakfast?
As I’m running to and from my room and the washroom, rushing to get ready for work after sleeping through my alarm clock yet again.

What is your favorite type of dog? (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal, drawing, cartoon or character in a movie or TV show)
My favourite breeds are Corgis, Jack Russell Terriers, Golden Retrievers, and wiener dogs, but I really love anything with a cute face and fluffy fur. I am especially enamoured with TommyPom, the most adorable intern in New York. ❤

Name one thing not many people know about you.
The summer before high school, I took cheerleading lessons at the local gymnastic centre. I went with a friend – we took dance classes together and thought it would be fun to try cheer. She was good. I sucked. I couldn’t do the flips, splits, lifts, or anything besides the dance routines and the cheers. I was pretty much the equivalent of belly flopping in the pool over and over and over again. Quite pathetic. No *Go Team* for me!

Have you ever gone scuba diving? If you haven’t, would you want to?
I haven’t been scuba diving, but it would be really amazing to see all of the sea creatures and underwater treasures up close. A few problems though: a) I cannot swim and b) I am terrified of going deep down into the middle of the ocean.

What was the most important event in your life last week? (anything goes it can be a good nights sleep, finished a reading book,winning the lottery, or getting married)
The Hudsucker turned 2, I saw Michael Buble in concert, and I watched Jersey Boys at the movie theatre (What, did you really expect me to choose just one?)

What makes you feel the most secure?
I feel most secure when I’m listening to my music on my iPod. Songs are not just the soundtrack to my life, but trusted and faithful friends as well.

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?
I would be a pair of ballet flats. That type of shoe best reflects my personal style – comfortable, classic, and very versatile (you can dress them up, dress them down, and wear them with pretty much any kind of outfit). They’re also one of the few shoes I can actually wear, thus I have 10+ pairs of them in different colours.

How many languages do you speak?
Just one – English. I have limited knowledge of French and Indonesian. I studied French in grade school, so I know some words and can say some basic phrases. My parents speak Indonesian, but having my brothers and I speak the language was never a necessity. I can pick up the gist of conversations by listening, but I don’t dare engage myself in conversation because I sound absolutely ridiculous when I speak. I’ve never felt the desire to learn since I’ve never fully connected with Indonesian culture.

What was the largest city you have been to? What is the one thing you remember most?
New York City. I remember standing on the streets, looking around and looking up, and feeling so small, yet limitless and overwhelmed with possibilities. It was one of the most wondrous feelings in the world and I can’t wait to experience that again someday soon…

Would you rather be stuck in a small plane with mild turbulence for 2 hours or be a passenger in a car racing the Daytona 500?
A passenger in a car racing the Daytona 500, because how often will you get the opportunity to fulfill that need for speed? Of course, I’d have to ensure that I’d be riding with a professional race car driver before stepping one foot into the vehicle. As for the alternative, small plane + turbulence (no matter how mild) = hell to the no.

Would you rather be alone with nobody in the vicinity for one month or never be alone not even for a minute for one month?
Alone with nobody in the vicinity for one month. I think I could bear the lengthy break from civilization and communication (I’m naturally a loner anyway) and it beats having people hover over you 24/7. Those poor people wouldn’t last the full month, I’m just sayin’…

Would you like to sleep in a human size nest in a tree or be snuggled in a burrowed spot underground?
Sleep in a human size nest in a tree, I suppose? At least I’d have fresh air to breathe when I’m up in the trees. Snuggling and hibernating in an underground spot sounds cozy yet suffocating..

In a car would you rather drive or be a passenger?
A backseat driver passenger. I am a competent driver (focused, follows the rules of the road, etc.) but I don’t particularly like driving, so I’ll rather relax and enjoy the ride.
