We Are The Fallen Rocks the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver

Out of the four shows I had planned to attend in the month of April, I was most excited for the HIM concert at the Commodore Ballroom to see one of their openers, alternative rock band We Are The Fallen. You might know their lead singer: she goes by the name of Carly Smithson, and her claim to fame was being the one of the finalists on Season 7 of American Idol.

Conan O’Brien Brings Comedy Tour to Vancouver

On April 13th, I attended Conan O’Brien‘s “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television” Tour at the Orpheum Theatre (coincidentally where my high school commencement ceremony was held) in downtown Vancouver. The tall, pale, bearded and awkwardly-charming redheaded personality sure treated us to one heck of an evening – filled with non-stop laughter, great music (nice guitar and piano-playing skills) and even greater dancing.

Adam Lambert is Here “For Your Entertainment” in Coquitlam

On April 8th, I went to see Adam Lambert perform at the Red Robinson Show Theatre in my hometown of Coquitlam, the first of his two special engagements in Vancouver this week. As those who were interested in attending these concerts would know, the tickets were extremely difficult to come by (without resorting to a third-party reseller), so I knew that I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to see Adam in such an small and intimate venue.

Music is My Constant

Throughout all of the celebrations and challenges I’ve encountered over these first few years of my adulthood, music has been my constant, leading me to life-changing discoveries, everlasting memories, and some of the best friends I’ve ever met. I’ve grown a lot as a person and learned more about who I am and what I strive to be. I’ve never felt more hopeful and confident towards life and what the future holds in store, and I owe it all to the gift of song. This blog is a tribute to the music and the artists that have helped me get to where I am today.

You’re going to hear a lot about a little show called American Idol, the platform from which I gained a whole new level of love and appreciation of music. There are four musicians from Season 7 of the show who have a rather big presence in my life. Allow me to introduce you to them…
