Every year on my birthday, I visit Cafe Astrology to see my forecast for the year. I like how these readings are specifically tailored to each birth date of the year. The description of those people born on January 7th are incredibly accurate to my character:
“You are a person who marches to the beat of your own drum, but yet you respect rules and order. Nobody can push you to do much of anything, as you don’t feel right unless you are acting on intuition. There is a spiritual or otherworldly quality to you, and you are highly creative when you are able to tap into and embrace your talents. Highly unusual yet intriguing, you are a quirky, imaginative, sensitive, observant, tolerant, accepting, helpful, somewhat wilful, and hardworking soul.”
2014 is a Number Six year for Capricorns born on January 7th. Ruled by Venus. This is a year of relative contentment and establishing harmony. Cafe Astrology’s advice? “Develop existing relationships, be positive and receptive because these kinds of energies help you to attract what you desire.”
Here are some other predictions for January 7th Capricorns:
“You are at some sort of a turning point in your life, in terms of personal growth. Events that occur this year act as catalysts that get you in touch with some important issues in your emotional life. Your emotions run high, and mood swings or identity crises are possible. There may be some kind of conflict in your life arising from a great urge to do something different. The year ahead promises to be a busy, dynamic, and significant period in your life.”
“There is extra charm in the way you present your ideas this year… You are able to express yourself more creatively.”
“You might often become frustrated if results of your actions are not instant, but it’s best to cultivate some patience when it comes to realizing your goals and getting the results you crave.”
“While the year can be hectic and scattered at times, there will be distinct periods when you have a strong sense of your responsibilities and a clear head. Advances in intellectual and mental pursuits are likely, as you make steady progress that has long-lasting results. Work done during this period in your life will have tangible results in the future.”
“This is a year of extremes in some ways, but a clear head helps you to meet your responsibilities nevertheless. Energy levels can be up and down. Watch for impulsiveness and deal with anger issues from the root if they seem to be driving your behavior. Temper and impulsiveness can lead to difficulties.”

On a slightly different note, I have been reading Demi Lovato‘s “Staying Strong“, a self-help/motivational book where she shares her insights on “staying strong” throughout the 365 days of the year, and I absolutely love it. I found January 7th’s page to be especially important and inspiring: She says, “Be mindful of the tone of your thoughts. Change the negative, self-loathing thoughts to positive, self-affirming ones. When you’re positive about yourself and everything around you, you begin to see the world in a different light. Your life today is what you make of it.”
“Change your thoughts, change your life.” – Lao Tzu
Oooh Demi! Spent a good hour yesterday watching her recent interviews & videos. She’s working on a new book, no? AND she went to Africa for her 21st – how amazing! I would love to visit Africa this decade 🙂
Demi’s quite an amazing young woman! I admire how she devotes a lot of time and energy to her charity and humanitarian work – she’s done a lot of great things with Free the Children.
